Genuine Selenite Slice

Genuine Selenite belongs to the gypsum family and forms through evaporation of saltwater lakes. Mined in regions such as Morocco and Mexico, its clear, glassy appearance and natural striations make it a favourite for cleansing and charging other crystals.

True Selenite is transparent and colourless, often resembling glass, while Satin Spar is fibrous and more white or cloudy rather than clear. True Selenite also forms in plates, "windows," or sheets, where as Satin Spar forms in needles or bundled sticks. Most 'Selenite' on the market is actually Satin Spar.
