Orthoceras Fossil Pendant

Orthoceras fossils have been discovered from back in the Ordovician period, which is 400+ million years ago. They are one of the first recognisable animal and are ancestors to the squid family. They range from a few inches to a couple metres long. After dying, their shells accumulated on the ocean floor and were covered by sediments - transforming them into stone, with a gemlike quality when polished.
